Off course, there is no way you can connect them to your Wii (maybe it's possible \*in theory\* but I am pretty sure this will never happen).īecause of the way Master System 3D glasses work (controlled by the game), it's not possible to use traditional glasses (red/cyan anaglyph ones or those used with 3D movies) without heavy modification to the way the screen is rendered by the emulator.
Meka seems to have support for that and some instructions to make the adapter but I never tried that and never had those 3D glasses anyway. I think it's possible to connect Master System 3D glasses to your computer but it requires an home-made adapter and some hardware skill. It is now based on SMS Plus GX, with some other changes too such as : Updated MAME FM & Z80 core based on upstream (YM core from CrabEmu, GPLv2 licensed.

But off course, there is no 3D effect anymore. It used to be based on SMS Plus 1.3 but then i realised SMS Plus GX had a lot of additions and was much better, while still being free software. The result is like a normal game, which is why it is called 3D faking, it simply makes 3D programmed games playable without those 3D glasses. Now, we can intercept the commands that the game send to the glasses (they are writes to some ports, just like the game send commands to the Video Controller or Sound chip) to know which lens is "supposed" to be shutdown and therefore skip frame rendering for one of the two lens. That's what happen with emulators which normally render the screen as usual. Gunpla Gundam Models,Gundam Model, and Hobby tools, GSI Cros, Mr Hobby, and Star wars Nendoroids and GSC Good Smile. If you don't have 3D glasses, the picture will look weird and kinda shaking.
With the glasses, your eyes will adapt the images they see for a pseudo-3D effect.

This device is normally controlled by the game with alternatively switch off the left & right lens, while displaying an appropriate image on the TV screen. SMSPlus does not really emulate 3D Glasses. Comment # 1 originally posted by ekeeke31 on T06:34:13.000Z:
